Boating is an important part of community life in Barrie and water sports of all kinds are a treasured summer tradition for many families who live in our fantastic City on beautiful Kempenfelt Bay.

Welcome to the first annual Georgian Boat and Sportsmen’s Show!

I am delighted to send my greetings to all visitors this weekend who are here to enjoy the first annual Georgian Boat and Sportsmen’s Show on the grounds of Georgian Downs racetrack.  As boaters and sportsmen, I know you all appreciate and value a clean lake and environment.  Many of you will be boating on our beautiful Lake Simcoe this summer.

I hope that as a community we will continue to work together to keep our lake clean.
